Show Racism the Red Card

On Friday 18th October we wore red to show our support for Show Racism the Red Card.

On the 18th October we all wore the colour red to show our support for Show Racism the Red Card. Earlier in the week, Year 4 School Council members led an assembly to explain to pupils why it is important to show our support. Classes also had lessons and class-based discussions based on the theme of anti-racism throughout the week. As our school uniform is already red, we wanted to go the extra mile to show our support, so we asked pupils and staff to wear as many red accessories as possible. In our classes, the person wearing the most red accessories got the equivalent number of accessories in raffle tickets to put into a whole school raffle. Then in achievers assembly, the winner of each class put their raffle tickets in the raffle and the winning raffle tickets were drawn. The golden time was won by two members from Year 2 who chose to have an arts and crafts session with their friends.
